      IT Leadership Roundtable Experience

SIM – Research Triangle Park invites you to join us for an engaging and interactive dinner meeting on March 31st at the Carolina Exotic Car Club in Raleigh.

This evening will bring together IT leaders from across the Triangle for meaningful networking, a light dinner, drinks, and a dynamic roundtable discussion focused on today’s most pressing technology issues.

Rather than a traditional panel format, this program will feature facilitated table discussions. Each table will explore a key industry topic before reconvening as a full group to share insights, challenges, and takeaways. The final portion of the evening will allow us to compare perspectives and identify common themes across organizations.

If you value peer exchange, candid conversation, and actionable insights from fellow IT leaders, this is a meeting you won’t want to miss.

A sample of the issues we'll be exploring:

      1. AI Governance & Responsible Adoption

Key Question: How are IT leaders establishing guardrails for AI while still enabling innovation and speed?
Focus: Governance models, ethics, risk ownership, cross-functional alignment.

      2. Innovation Under Financial Pressure

Key Question: How do IT leaders prioritize innovation when budgets are flat—or shrinking?
Focus: Business value justification, trade-offs, portfolio management.

      3. IT Talent, Skills, and the Future Workforce

Key Question: What skills matter most over the next 2–3 years, and how are leaders retaining and reshaping teams?
Focus: Upskilling, AI impact on roles, leadership development, retention strategies.

      4. Leadership & Growth

Key Question: What intentional choices are leaders making to sustain career growth, personal resilience, and impact as responsibilities and organizational complexity increase?

      RTP Community Outreach

All proceeds from the Ed Galloway Charity Golf Classic benefit STEM focused programs in the RTP area and contribute to the NCSU SIM Ed Galloway Endowed Scholarship.  The Society for Information Management (SIM) Ed Galloway Scholarship was created in 2008 by the RTP Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) professional organization, and renamed in the memory of Ed Galloway who passed away unexpectedly in 2016. Galloway was instrumental in his efforts to bring community service into the chapter’s vision and mission. He believed that supporting the next generation of technologists would help not only the recipient, but ultimately help the chapter thrive. The NC State scholarship is awarded annually to a rising junior or senior and may be renewable if the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress.
